01 · Services
Design and construction under one roof, so nothing gets lost in the handoff and no one gets to point fingers.
Full project delivery under a Utah B100 license. Scheduling, subs, permits, inspections and budget: managed end to end with one point of accountability.
Custom homes and additions built to last. Thoughtful detailing, sound structure, and finishes chosen to look right for decades, not just on handover day.
Industrial man caves, shops, studios and hybrid work-and-play buildings. Purpose-built spaces for people whose needs don't fit a standard floor plan.
Whole-home transformations and targeted upgrades. I work cleanly in occupied homes and tell you what's behind the wall before it becomes your problem.
Concept through construction documents. Start with a blank page and an honest conversation about budget, then design toward it, not away from it.
Feasibility, budget and scope review with an investor's eye. Useful before you buy, before you commit, or when a project has gone sideways and needs a straight answer.
02 · Approach
Most builders make you choose. Good design usually means blowing the budget; staying on budget usually means it ends up looking like everything else. That trade-off is a failure of planning, not a law of physics.
Talk Through Your ProjectOdd lot, awkward structure, impossible budget, a mess someone else left behind. The harder the problem, the more worth doing it is.
Every dollar is weighed against what it returns: in resale, in rental yield, or in how much you'll actually enjoy the space. Spend where it counts, save where it doesn't show.
When the same person draws it and builds it, the drawings are buildable and the budget is real. No change-order theater.
You'll hear what something actually costs and what it actually takes, including when the honest answer is that you shouldn't do it.
03 · About
I'm Stetson Blackmore: licensed general contractor, licensed real estate agent, and the one name behind everything on this site.
Work With Me
I grew up in St. George on my family's job sites. Before I could drive I was running trackhoes and backhoes, pouring flatwork, and framing walls: twelve years in the field, watching subdivisions come out of raw desert. I didn't learn construction from a textbook. I learned it from the seat of the machine.
Then I went and got the textbook anyway: a degree in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Utah, built around game theory, probability, and risk. From there, three years in land acquisition for a regional homebuilder. Feasibility studies, entitlements, budgets, bid leveling, and development agreements negotiated with cities. I've seen how the big builders make their money, and exactly where projects go wrong.
That's the background behind the license. I hold Utah's B100, the broadest general contracting license the state issues, and I'm a licensed real estate agent. Few builders carry both. It's why "an investor's perspective" isn't a slogan here: when I tell you a remodel will earn its money back, that's underwriting, not a sales pitch.
Beyond my own projects, I'm one of the leaders of the Builder Collective at Spark Realty, where we help independent builders stand up operations of their own, and I'm an active member of ULI Utah and its Young Leaders mentorship program. I stay close to the industry so my clients don't have to.
Staying close to the people who decide how Utah gets built: city staff, planners, and the next crop of developers. It's how I know what a jurisdiction will actually approve before I draw it.
